This little family is about to become a family of four very soon, so we used this opportunity to document what life is like for them in this season. There are so many reasons I love in-home family sessions so much, but this session really felt special. Little ones feel most comfortable and most like themselves in their own home. It only took a few minutes for this handsome guy (that hair and those eyelashes, am I right?) to warm right up to my camera. He was laughing, playing, and cuddling with his mom and dad just as he would have been had I not been there hovering over them all and chasing him down the hall. We were definitely able to let this 2-year-old do his toddler thing, and in doing so his playful, silly, and sweet little self was able to shine.  We also captured parts of their home that were important to them right now. Big brother just got a new big boy bed and newly decorated room in preparation for his sibling's arrival, so playing and jumping on the bed was a requirement! A gallery photo wall on their stairs was also a favorite part of the house. Capturing the family interacting in these parts of their home help to tell their own complete family story. And finally, mom had expressed to me that she absolutely loved being pregnant and I really wanted to highlight this incredible time for her. Her gorgeous baby belly was a dream to capture and we were able to involve the entire family. I love that this family is going to be able to really remember what life was like just before they welcome a new little one into their home!
